Jonathan grew up in Troy but moved to Arizona to attend the Le cordon Bleu Culinary Institute. While working as a chef, he met his soon-to-be wife Carmen at the Four Seasons Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. Carmen had just graduated from the prestigious culinary school, Colegio Superior de Gastronomia in Mexico City, and was on her internship for pastry. They soon fell in love and were married on the family farm in Troy, Ohio. They then moved to Naples, Florida and began careers at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples. Jonathan became a restaurant manager and Carmen a pastry Chef. After many years of vacationing on the farm in Troy they decided to move back to develop the family farm, and the Farmhouse Bakery was born!
